Adobe and Frame.io have just launched a beta feature that transforms photography workflows by enabling instant transfer of photos from camera to Adobe Lightroom via Frame.io.

The new feature is designed to simplify file management and ensure rapid, secure cloud backups and near-instant delivery of edited images in situations such as high-stakes events where every second matters. While video creators have relied on Frame.io to collaborate in the cloud for nearly a decade, this capability has been largely neglected for stills shooters. Expanding that functionality to photography workflows began in 2022 when Adobe introduced Camera to Cloud integrations with Fujifilm in their X-H2 and X-H2s cameras, along with optimised photo review and approval tools within Frame.io. The release of Frame.io V4 beta adds more cameras from Panasonic to the project. The new release also includes customisable metadata for new organisational capabilities, along with optimised photo review and approval tools within Frame.io. Adobe will continue to build increased functionality into the integration as Frame.io becomes even more accessible to photographers and videographers of all levels.

Frame.io for Lightroom is available on a free trial basis. It requires a C2C-enabled camera from Fujifilm or Panasonic LUMIX, as well as a Frame.io Version 4 beta account. Click here for more information
