Adobe has released details of the next generation of Creative Cloud at Adobe MAX in Los Angeles, officially launching Photoshop on iPad plus updates to desktop applications.

Today’s Creative Cloud release includes the following mobile applications:
•           Adobe Photoshop on iPad, which brings core compositing and retouching workflows to the tablet. It features full PSD interoperability, a touch-based UI, cloud document access, and the power to work on real-world, multi-layered creations.

  • Adobe Fresco on Microsoft Windows, which is available for Microsoft Surface Pro X devices and Wacom MobileStudio Pro hardware. It provides a natural and versatile drawing and painting experience across devices by combining raster, vector and new Live Brushes. Powered by Adobe Sensei, the watercolor and oil Live Brushes mix and interact on the screen just as they would in real life. The product also allows artists to sync their favorite Photoshop brushes for a smooth roundtrip workflow between apps.
  • Adobe Illustrator on iPad Preview, which will make it possible for users to work with the same documents across devices and have seamless access to Adobe Stock, Adobe Fonts and all Creative Cloud Libraries.
  • Adobe Photoshop Camera, a new mobile app that brings Photoshop directly to the point of capture, giving users the ability to create and share imaginative, high-quality images on social media. Unlike native phone camera and third-party camera apps, Photoshop Camera uses Adobe Sensei to automatically enhance photo quality and will include an expansive library of unique lenses and effects.

Adobe unveiled a redesigned Creative Cloud desktop app, which includes a powerful, native search engine plus new ways to access services like Adobe Fonts, Adobe Stock and Behance, as well as a new full-screen management tool for Creative Cloud Libraries. A new Auto Reframe feature in Premiere Pro uses Adobe Sensei technology to analyse footage and apply intelligent panning and cropping to keep the action in the frame.

An update for the desktop version of Photoshop has also been released, bringing performance improvements, new Sensei AI and machine learning industry-leading editing capabilities and an integrated cloud documents system. Click here for more information.
