Polaroid instant photography returns to the Australian market with the release of two new cameras, the Polaroid Two instant digital camera and the Polaroid 300, which uses instant film.

 

July 1, 2010: Polaroid instant photography returns to the Australian market with the release of two new cameras, the Polaroid Two instant digital camera and the Polaroid 300, which uses instant film.
The Polaroid Two uses ZINK zero ink printing technology and produces 2×3-inch prints on adhesive-backed paper. The camera has an effective resolution of 5-megapixels and an LCD monitor on which users can preview images and decide whether to print them. It has an RRP of $269.95. The Polaroid ZINK Photo Paper is available in two packs. A 10-sheet pack sells for $6.95, while a triple pack containing 30 sheets of paper is priced at $19.95.

The Polaroid 300 uses conventional instant film and features an automatic flash plus four scene pre-sets. The new camera will be offered in black, red and blue and will retail for $149.95. The camera is powered by four AA batteries. It takes business card-sized colour photos and works with Polaroid 300 instant film. Ten-packs of Polaroid 300 instant film sell for $19.95 each.
