The Australian Centre for Photography has released details of its Term 2 winter workshops plus workshops planned for the July school holidays.
Digital Photography Basics, a one-day workshop covering the fundamentals of using a DSLR camera is scheduled for Saturday, 22 June from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A fee of $199 applies.
Camera Craft 1, a five-week course covering the fundamental creative principles of photography and how these principles relate to your camera’s functions, begins on Saturday 15 June. It includes a series of informative lectures backed up by practical assignments and reviews. A fee of $439 applies. Camera Craft 2 is for more advanced photographers, with two classes running over five weeks. This is a follow-on from Camera Craft 1. The Thursday evening sessions begin on 13 June at 6:00 pm. while the Saturday sessions begin on 15 June at 10:00 am. A fee of $439 applies.
A special DSLR Video course will run for five weeks, starting on Thursday 13 June at 6:00 pm. It is designed to provide participants with the basics of shooting and editing video and attracts a fee of $439. Starting on 9 July at 10:00 a.m. are two school holiday workshops. Exploring Still Life is conducted by Steven Cavanagh and designed for the 12-15 age bracket. This four-hour course requires no prior experience and attracts a fee of $70. Camera Craft for Youth, conducted by Fiona Wolf-Symeonides, is designed for students over 14 years in age. It takes place os 11 July between 10:00 a.m and 4:00 p.m. A fee of $120 applies.
