The second Photo Shanghai, Asia’s premier art fair dedicated to photography, opens at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre from on 11 September and runs for three days.
Having attracted more than 25,000 visitors in its inaugural year, Photo Shanghai 2015 will feature an exhibition of vintage and contemporary masterworks from 50 of the world’s leading photography galleries from Asia-Pacific, Europe and the United States. Artists whose works will be on display (and for sale) include Nobuyoshi Araki, Birdhead, Guy Bourdin, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Elliott Erwitt, Yang Fudong, Candida Hø¶fer, Horst P. Horst, Andrø© Kertø©sz, Steven Klein, Gustave Le Gray, Daido Moriyama, Vik Muniz, Helmut Newton, Erwin Olaf, Terry O’Neill, Irving Penn, Paolo Roversi and Hiroshi Sugimoto.
Selected international collectors and curators will be brought together for the Collectors’ Forum to discuss the international photography market and the Museum Summit focusing on the importance of photography in 21st Century museum and private collections.
