Entries are sought for the 2019 Nature Conservancy Global Photo Contest, which is open to anyone over the age of 18 and offers $20,000 worth of prizes.
Entry to this competition is free of charge and photographers can submit an unlimited number of photos in any of the categories. The judges are looking for images of landscapes, wildlife, nature adventures, people and nature, underwater views, or nature in the city. Images will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit. All photographs should accurately reflect the subject matter and the scene as it appeared. Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimisation (cropping, spotting for dust, reasonable adjustments to exposure, colour and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified. Entries may originate in any format, including but not limited to digital files, digital prints, colour transparencies, colour prints, or black and white prints; so long as they are submitted electronically in a .JPEG .jpg, or.png format. HDR images are acceptable. Photographers will retain all rights to any photograph they submit but must grant The Conservancy and its related entities such as affiliates and subsidiaries a royalty-free, non-exclusive right in perpetuity to display the image on its websites, share it via social media, use it in publications and retain a copy in The Conservancy archive. The Conservancy will endeavor to credit all photographs with the full name of the photographer.
Submissions close at midnight on 31 August 2019. Winners will be announced on 13 September. Click here for full details and entry forms.
