Fujifilm’s GFX Challenge Grant Award Program is back again for 2024, with the aim of providing grants to support emerging photography and videography talent.
Initially launched in 2021, the GFX Challenge Grant Program for 2024 opens today. With almost AU$150,000 worth of grants up for grabs, Australians at the beginning of their careers have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bring a creative project to life with Fujifilm’s financial and technical support. There are five global and ten regional grant programs on offer, with winning submissions receiving over AU$14,000 ($10,000 USD) to support their projects. An additional ten regional award recipients will be selected, each receiving over AU$7,000 ($5,000 USD). All winning content will be showcased in an exhibition, as well as on the fujifilm-x.com website.
Australian photography enthusiasts can enter the GFX Challenge from today until 15 September 2024 online via the Fujifilm GFX Challenge 2024 website. Between 16 September and 4 October, Fujifilm will review the submissions and select 15 project proposals from three geographical regions, 45 submissions total, for evaluation in the 2nd round, which will see candidates being interviewed by Fujifilm’s representatives. Five finalists from each geographical region will be selected to proceed to the final round. The award recipients will be announced in January 2025.
