The Sony World Photography Awards 2025 competition has just launched and is free to enter and open to photographers at all stages of their careers.
Run by the World Photography Organisation, this competition is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious photography contests. With its unparalleled reach, the Sony World Photography Awards has helped to elevate the careers of many photographers while championing inclusivity and access. The competition is split into four categories: Professional, Open, Student and Youth with separate genre-related competitions covering Architecture & Design, Creative, Documentary Projects, Environment, Landscape, Perspectives, Portraiture, Wildlife & Nature, Still Life and Sport.
Entries for the Student competition close on 29 November 2024; the Youth and Open competitions (including National & Regional Awards and Alpha Female Award) close on 3 January 2025 and the Professional competition (including Latin America Professional Award and Sustainability Prize) closes on 10 January 2025.
