Fujifilm’s annual GFX Challenge was launched four years ago and aims to give emerging creative talent the support they need to create world leading photography and videography projects.

This year’s challenge will see five global recipients each receiving over $15,000 AUD ($10,000 USD), and ten regional winners awarded more than $7,000 AUD ($5,000 USD) each to invest in their professional development. All winning projects will be featured in a dedicated exhibition and showcased on fujifilm-x.com. Australian photography enthusiasts can enter the GFX Challenge from today until 31 August 2025 online via the Fujifilm GFX Challenge 2025 website.   Selected finalists will be given complimentary use of a Fujifilm GFX System camera body and two FUJINON GF Lenses for the duration of their project, along with mentoring and technical assistance from Fujifilm technicians and/or product experts.

Applications reviewed between 1 and 19 September by Fujifilm’s Asia Pacific Region Grant Review Team and selected finalists will be notified by 26 September ahead of the final interviews of 15 selected finalists.  Between 20 October and 10 November, Fujifilms’ Global Grant Award judging team will review the submissions from each of the finalists and select five to receive a USD $10,000 Global Grant award.  The final 10 Global Grant Award Finalists not receiving the Global Grant award will each receive a USD $5,000 Grant Award. Winners will be announced on 26 December and grant funds awarded. The challenge ends on 31 May, 2026, when all projects must have been completed and submitted to Fujifilm.
