Entries have opened for the 2023 Felix Schoeller Photo Award, a biennial international competition for professional photographers and young photographic talent.

This year’s competition will award prizes in four categories: Portrait, Photojournalism, Sustainability and Best Work by an Emerging Photographer. There is also an additional sub-category – the German Peace Prize for Photography, which links Osnabrück as a city of peace in Westphalia with the Osnabrück-based family business Felix Schoeller. Only professional photographers may submit entries in the categories Portrait, Photojournalism, Sustainability and the German Peace Prize for Photography categories. Only emerging photographers may submit entries to the special category Best Work by an Emerging Photographer. Entry to the competition is free.
Shortlisted works will be published on the website gallery on 6 March 2023, with the winners announced on 4 May 2023. Click here for full details of the competition.
