The Ballarat International Foto Biennale has opened entries for the 2021 Martin Kantor Portrait Prize to all photographers and photo media artists.
As well as giving selected entries the chance to have your work displayed and viewed at the Ballarat International Foto Biennale from 28 August to 24 October 2021 in Ballarat, this competition offers an acquisitive first prize of $15,000, generously supported by the Dara Foundation, which will be awarded to the work judged to be an exceptional photographic portrait of a significant Australian. The subject must be a living individual distinguished in art, letters, science, sports or politics.
Applications will close on 1 May 2021 at 11.59 p.m. AEST and finalists will be notified on 15 June 2021. A payment of $50 per image is required to be in the running for the cash prize, which will be judged by Naomi Cass, Max Delany, Bill Henson and Fiona Sweet. Click here for details.
