Entries have opened for the Nikon Photo Contest 2020-2021, one of the world’s largest international photo contests.

The competition is open to photographers and videographers and entries to the Open and Next Generation categories can be submitted as either still images or short film. The theme for the Open category is “Connect” and judges will be looking for works that explore the meaning and significance of communication, as well as the bonds that connect people to the world. The theme for the Next Generation category, which is open to photographers 25 years old and younger, is “Passion”. Once again Art Director Neville Brody has been chosen as Lead Judge for the Nikon Photo Contest 2020-2021. Mr. Brody has served as Lead Judge in the last two Nikon Photo Contests.

The Contest is open to all professional and amateur photographers, regardless of age, gender, or nationality. A total of 24 works will receive Excellence Awards and Special Encouragement Awards presented for each category in the two competition formats (Photo and Short Film). In addition, one Grand Prize winner will be selected from among the Excellence Award winners in each category. Nikon’s Selection Award winners will be selected by employees of the Nikon Group from works that pass the initial judging phase. Details of the prizes are shown below.
