A shortlist of the top 71 entries in the 2022 BirdLife Australia Photography Awards has just been published on the BirdLife Australia website.
This selection of images shows some of the shortlisted entries in this year’s theme section, which highlights Australian robins.

Winners will be announced in early November and the final winner from each category will receive a $1,000 cash prize, with a whopping $5,000 prize going to the portfolio winner, courtesy of principal sponsor, Nikon Australia. There will also be a special prize awarded: The Peter Slater Award for Black and White Photography.
