Winners have been announced for this year’s Epson International Pano awards, which attracted a record number of entries.

The overall winner in the 2020 Open Competition was Matt Jackisch from Canada with Spring Hibernation image (shown above), which was captured while snowshoeing in the Coastal Mountains in British Columbia in March. The runner-up in the 2020 Open Competition was Colin Leonhardt from Australia, while the winner of the 2020 Amateur Competition was Juan López Ruiz from Spain. The winner of the VR/360 Competition this year was Oleg Gaponyuk from Russia and the interactive version of his entry can be viewed, along with the other winners, on the awards website.
This year the competition received 5,859 entries from 1,452 professional and amateur photographers in 96 countries – a record for its 11 year history. In addition to cash prizes, Epson Australia provided prizes that included an Epson SureColor P7070 printer, an Epson SureColor P5070 printer and an Epson EB-1781W ultra-slim projector.
