Pelican Products has released two new waterproof cases for photography and video production professionals who want to protect their laptops, lenses and any sensitive equipment.
Meeting most airlines’ specifications for carry-on baggage, the 1560SC and 1510SC Studio Cases have an open cell-core construction and polymer o-ring sealing around the lid for a dust and watertight seal. An automatic pressure equalization valve stops moisture from entering the case, preventing vacuum-lock so the case opens easily at any altitude. To ensure easy and immediate access, the cases also feature double-throw latches that have been tested to a failure threshold of nearly 181 kilograms, but open with a light pull.
Inside the lids of both cases is detachable neoprene laptop sleeve and accompanying accessory pouch that gives travelers immediate access at Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoints and accommodates the vast majority of laptop computers up to 15.4 inches (1510SC) and 17.4 inches (1560SC). Both cases offer a main compartment with padded dividers for infinite customization and are also available as the 1510LFC and 1560LFC (Laptop Foam Cases) with standard Pick N Pluckâ„¢ foam in the base for a precision fit.
