The AG-AF102AEN shares many functions with its predecessor the AG-AF102EN, including 18-bit DSP (digital signal processing) that is optimised for video, a Low-Pass Filter to minimise aliasing, internal Optical ND Filters and Two-Channel XLR Audio inputs.  The interchangeable Micro Four Thirds Lens mount makes the AG-AF102AEN compatible with a wide ranges of lenses. Native Micro Four Thirds Lenses compatible with stills cameras can be fitted directly while cinema lenses and others can be fitted with adapters.

While providing the professional high quality PH mode (average approx. 21Mbps, maximum 24Mbps) of the AG-AF102EN, the AG-AF102AEN adds the AVCHD ver. 2.0 (AVCHD Progressive) standard in its new PS mode. This mode has an average bit rate of approximately 25Mbps  (maximum 28Mbps) for recording, playing and outputting Full-HD progressive (1080/59.94p, 1080/50p) clips via HDMI. The PS/PH modes support uncompressed 16-bit LPCM 2-channel audio recording.

The AG-AF102AEN also features an enhanced HD-SDI output with 10-bit 4:2:2 quality via the camera’s live output. This function is ideal for recording onto external devices, that are compatible with 10-bit recording, such as a P2 Recorder. The P2 Recorder also syncs Rec Start/Stop with the AG-AF100AEN series trigger. A new expand focus assist function, which enlarges the centre of the displayed image, while a 2.39:1 (cinema scope size) safety zone marker is also provided.

The AG-AF102AEN Memory Card Camcorder is available from specialist Panasonic Professional Video Resellers priced at $5691 (RRP   for body only). For more information on Panasonic Broadcast visit www.panasonic.com.au or call 132 600.
