March 7, 2010: Panasonic has unveiled two new Micro Four Thirds System interchangeable-lens cameras, the DMC-G2 and DMC-G10, which are scheduled for local release in June.
The DMC-G2, which offers many of the features of the popular G1 model, is claimed as the world’s smallest and lightest system camera withan adjustable LCD monitor. This new 3-inch is also the first of its type to offer touch-screen controls over shooting, adjusting camera settings and playing back images and video clips. Touch the screen, and the G2 automatically “tracks” the selected subject as it moves, adjusting focus and exposure accordingly. The DMC-G2 also supports HD video recording using the popular AVCHD Lite format.
