The lens is equipped with an aperture ring and AF/MF switch for direct operation. Its optical design comprises nine elements in seven groups with three aspherical elements to spherical aberration and distortion while maintaining a compact size. Panasonic’s Nano Surface Coating technology minimises reflection across the entire visual light range (380nm-780nm) by applying an extra-low refractive index coating on the lens surface.
A high-quality metal design and mount ensure the new lens is reliable and durable in the field. Internal focusing enables excellent resolution and contrast from close-up to infinity and the new stepping motor makes the focusing action smooth and silent for use in both photo and video recording.
