Designed for social photographers, the DMC-FP8 (RRP $659) comes in silver, black and pink and features a slim body made possible by folding optics that retract the lens flush with the camera body. New enhancements, such as High-Speed AF, POWER O.I.S. and Face Recognition combine with a 0.95 second start-up time to ensure fast response times. Despite the camera’s small size, a large, 2.7-inch Intelligent LCD screen offers clear image quality for dynamic viewing and playback. A blue LED illuminates the camera’s button controls when in use, adding another elegant element to the design. Front view of the Lumix DMC- FP8. (Source: Panasonic.) Rear view of the Lumix DMC- FP8.
