Designed to provide a comprehensive suite of professional editing tools in a single workflow application, the latest version includes new features like non-destructive layers integration, new layered file features including auto-alignment and focus stacking, a new portrait tab, a new text tool, new digital asset management updates, and support for the latest cameras and lenses. New AI-powered algorithms will give customers the ability to transfer Lightroom-edited photos, keep the non-destructive settings, and move them into ON1 Photo RAW 2019. The new text tool provides control over font size, colour and position making it easy to add bylines or editing annotations. Text can be saved as a preset for adding to a batch of photos quickly. The new Portrait tools will automatically detect faces in images and will retouch to smooth skin, brighten and sharpen eyes and whiten teeth.
The user interface has also been redesigned with reduced contrast to make photos stand out along with a new font to help increase readability. New icons, tabs, and sliders will also take up less visual space. Local adjustments are updated to use the raw processing data improving adjustments for highlight and shadow details with more tonal range. Dedicated film grain, curves, and colour adjustment filters have been added to the Effects options, along with a new way to select and browse filters.
