Coolpix 5700

Top of the range is the Coolpix 5700, which combines a 5-megapixel CCD sensor with an 8x zoom lens (35-280mm equivalent) and uses the vari-angle LCD monitor introduced with the Coolpix 5000 (but in a slightly smaller form). The 5700 features a bright electronic viewfinder, Quick Review button and USB interface.

Compact, with a lightweight magnesium-alloy body, it weighs only 512 grams and comes with a black body and concealed pop-up flash. Expected retail price is $2499.

Coolpix 4500

The Coolpix 4500 continues the swiveling body design introduced with the Coolpix 900 and comes with a 4-megapixel CCD sensor and 4x zoom lens (38-155m equivalent). New features include 16 selectable Scene Modes, a Perspective Control function that lets photographers adjust converging lines in shots after capture and close focusing to 2 cm. Expected retail price is $1599.

Coolpix 2000

The Coolpix 2000 is Nikon”s new entry-level model and is priced at $649. Designed for snapshooters, it has a 2-megapixel CCD sensor and 3x zoom lens (38-114mm equivalent) and offers auto-everything” operation. The camera comes with five pre-set Scene Modes and is powered by four AA batteries.
