Nikon has announced it will add an 800mm f/5.6 prime lens to its Nikkor lens line-up with full compatibility with Nikon’s FX DSLR cameras.
This lens has been developed to strengthen the Nikkor lineupof super-telephoto lenses. It will boast the longest focal length in the rangeand will be best suited to sports and wildlife photography. In addition to itssuperior optical performance, the lens will offer outstanding dust and water resistance.The new lens is scheduled to go on display at Photokina in Cologne, Germany betweenSeptember 18 and 23, 2012.
