Nikon has posted a service advisory notice for flare-affected D750 cameras on its local and international websites.
The notice relates to the reports from some D750 users that flare can sometimes occur in images captured when a bright light source, such as the sun or high-intensity lighting, is at a certain position along the top border of the frame. Nikon service centres will service the affected cameras free of charge. Australian owners of Nikon D750 cameras can check the serial number of their camera by visiting the service page on Nikon’s Australian website.
If your camera is in the serial number range known to be affected, instructions for requesting repairs will be displayed. When packing your camera to ship to Nikon for repairs, use something other than the original box. Do not include your battery, memory cards or other accessories.
If your camera is not one of those affected, you may continue using your camera without concern for this issue.
