Nikon will release a number of commemorative models of existing produces as well as other novelty products in June, celebrating its 100th Anniversary.
All commemorative items will come with the 100th anniversary logo (shown above) as well as special finishes and features. Included are limited commemorative editions of Nikon’s two flagship DSLR cameras (the D5 and D500), the AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR lens, two additional f/2.8 Nikkor lenses (the 14-24mm f/2.8G ED and the 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR), and finally, three binoculars. The same commemorative serial number is engraved on all three lenses.
Commemorative products include a half-scale model of Nikon’s first flagship, the legendary Nikon F. Note: it does not have photographic capabilities. Nikon is also releasing a crystal reproduction of the Nikon Model I, created by Swarovski as well as a premium camera strap is made entirely of the best Italian leather and a collection of lapel pins representing Nikon’s most historic and popular products, as well as the corporate logo.
