This month will see Nikon add seven new models to its Coolpix range of digital compact cameras, complementing the models released in September 2013 and earlier this year.

The new Coolpix additions are the P340, AW120, P600, P530, S9700, S9600 and S32, all with resolutions in excess of 16 megapixels plus the EXPEED C2 image processor. They also provide the following features: a new Dynamic Fine Zoom function, which doubles the longest optical zoom range, while maintaining maximum image resolution; high-speed recharging, Nikkor lens optics and improved Instant Photo Sharing via built-in wi-fi in selected models. The new models are scheduled for release on 27 February, 2014.
The new additions split the Coolpix range into four groups: the Coolpix P340, Coolpix P7800 and Coolpix A offering state of the art technology in a small body; the Coolpix AW120 and S32 providing tough, all-weather capabilities, the Coolpix L830, P600, P530, S9700 and S9600 delivering a super zoom range and the Coolpix S02, S2800, S3600, S6700 and S6800 coming in a variety of fashionable colours.
