January 30, 2008: Sunpak’s new PZ42X Digital Electronic Flash combines a guide number of 42 (ISO 100/metres) with compactness and versatility.
Designed to support the TTL light control system with selected digital SLR cameras, the PZ42X has 90 degree bounce tilt control upward and 300 degree swivel control, left and right. The lens focal length display can be switched between digital (APS-C) and 35 mm film on the LCD display which can also be back-lit. Other features include 7-step EV adjustment from +1.5 to -1.5 EV, 7-step Power Ratio adjustment from Full to 1/64th power, Auto Focus Assist Light for auto-focus lenses in low light conditions and built-in wide angle panel for 16mm (APS-C) or 24mm (35mm) lenses.
Recycling time is only 3.5 seconds and more than 200 flashes are possible with 4x AA alkaline batteries, with better performance from AA lithium or Ni-MH batteries.
