Sony has released a new range of UHS-1 Class 10 SD memory cards, designed for DSLR photographers and videographers.
Offering a fast read speed of up to 94MB/second and write speed of 45MB/second, the new cards meet the requirements for recording continuous burst of high-resolution still frames as well as recording HD video clips. The cards, which can be used with Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) and Secure Digital Extended Capacity (SDXC) Memory Card compatible products, are also durable, waterproof and have a wide range of operating temperatures.

Buyers of the new cards will also be able to download Sony File Rescue Software free of charge. This software allows users to recover files that were accidentally deleted and is the first recovery software to support 3D movies and photos, as well as Full Advanced Video Coding High Definition (AVCHD) 60p video files.
Available in storage capacities of 8GB, 16GB and 32GB, the UHS-I memory cards will be available from March 2012. The 8GB cards are priced at AUD$45.95, the 16GB cards at AUD$75.95 and the 32GB cards at AUD$159.95. Full product details can be found at http://www.sony-asia.com/product/sf-32nx.
