Offered at a discounted price of US$599, the Complete Collection includes Photoshop and Aperture versions of Dfine 2.0, Viveza, Color Efex Pro 3.0, Silver Efex Pro, and Sharpener Pro 3.0 All products now include Nik’s patented U Point technology (www.upoint.com) for precise control of selective editing functions without the need to create complicated selections and layer masks. U Point powered Control Points found in each of Nik Software’s products are easy to use and, by working directly on the image, powerful selective enhancements. Windows and Macintosh versions are available with support for the latest versions of both operating systems.
Nik Software has also unveiled the latest version of its popular Sharpener Pro photographic plug-in for use with Adobe Photoshop and Apple Aperture. Sharpener Pro 3.0 has been dramatically improved with a range of new features, including powerful creative sharpening tools, a soft proofing option, and integrated U Point technology. U Point powered Control Points allow precise, selective sharpening, while an industry-first sharpening soft proof mode allows detailed inspection of sharpening results on screen before printing, eliminating costly test prints. The suggested retail price of Sharpener Pro 3.0 is US$199.95. Upgrades from any previous version are available for US$99.95.
A free update is also available for Nik Software’s Dfine 2.0 noise reduction software plug-in. Dfine version 2.1 provides superior noise reduction while maintaining detail and sharpness throughout an image and providing selective control over noise reduction by employing Nik Software’s U Point technology.
A new Silver Efex Pro photographic plug-in for creating monochrome images is also being showcased at Photokina. Designed use with Adobe Photoshop and Apple Aperture Silver Efex Pro uses a range of advanced imaging algorithms that protect against unwanted artifacts, a comprehensive collection of 18 emulated black-and-white film types, and a state-of-the-art grain engine that truly mimics the silver halide process and creates the highest quality black-and-white images possible from scanned or digital color photographs. The suggested retail price of Silver Efex Pro is US$199.95.
