Kodak will extend its LS line-up with the addition of the 4-megapixel EasyShare LS743 and 5-megapixel LS753 models.

 

: Kodak will extend its LS line-up with the addition of the 4-megapixel EasyShare LS743 and 5-megapixel LS753 models.
The new digicams feature a slim aluminum body that is similar in size to a small mobile phone and include Kodak’s new ‘camera favourites’ feature, which allows users to put pictures into a special digital photo album for viewing or printing anytime, anywhere. These pictures can viewed the large, 1.8-inch indoor/outdoor monitor and tagged for printing and/or e-mailing to any of up to 32 e-mail addresses that can be stored in the on-board memory. Both models are fitted with Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon 2.8X compact optical zoom lenses and the new Kodak Color Science image processing chips to ensure excellent picture quality. In each model, the lens focal length is equivalent to 36-100mm in 35mm format and 3.6x digital zoom is provided to support up to 10x magnification.

Both models include adjustable sensitivity (ISO 80-800), four white balance settings and a built-in multi-mode flash and each model has a long time exposure mode that covers exposures from ½ to 16 seconds. Dedicated buttons are provided for the menu, flash, delete, review, share, information and power functions. The LS743 and LS753 will be supplied with Kodak’s EasyShare software for Windows and Macintosh PCs, which supports easy image transfer, organisation, editing, sharing and printing. The software’s exclusive One Touch to Better Pictures feature uses proprietary colour technologies to help Windows OS users obtain better prints from home inkjet printers.
