The new Passport Sling II features the same sling-type design as its predecessor, but includes a removable and customisable camera box that adjusts to fit a CSC or DSLR kit, plus personal gear. Removing the camera box transforms the Passport Sling II into a full travel or day bag. Both camera box and sling may be folded flat for packing into a larger bag. An expandable front panel unzips to reveal 30% more storage space for personal items.  The adjustable shoulder strap with cam lock buckle includes a detachable pad for extra comfort. Multiple storage pockets on the exterior and interior provide ample space for a water bottle, smart-phone, wallet, keys, light jacket, and other personal items. A bright, contrasting lining makes it easy to locate gear.

The Passport Sling II  will be offered in Black/Red or Mica/Green and is scheduled for release in late November at an RRP of AU$99. For full details visit http://www.maxwell.com.au/news/2012/lowepro_passportslingii_2012-09-19.pdf .

The Event Messenger series of bags will be available in black with red accents in late December. (It is also offered in Mica.) The three models are built to fit, protect and carry an interchangeable lens camera (ILC) kit, plus a laptop or tablet in the larger two sizes. The Event Messenger’s Grab-and-Go design with a wide-access main compartment makes it ideal for getting to gear when shooting a news story, wedding or impromptu event. A Dual-Mode Flap allows a photographer to quickly switch from maximum security mode to quiet working mode. Additional features include: padded laptop/tablet compartment (in the 250 and 150, respectively); comfortable, adjustable shoulder strap with non-slip patch; stretch side pockets; plus a grab handle for an extra carrying option.

The 250  model (RRP AU$79) fits up to a Pro DSLR without grip plus extra lenses, accessories and up to a 13-inch laptop. The 150 (RRP AU$65) fits a DSLR plus extra lenses, accessories and a tablet. The 100 (RRP AU$49) fits a compact DSLR or CSC plus extra lenses and accessories. For full details visit http://www.maxwell.com.au/news/2012/lowepro_eventmessenger_2012-09-19.pdf.
