New Lowepro Backpacks

April 27, 2007: Local distributor, Maxwell International Australia, has received the first shipment of Lowepro’s new Vertex line-up of premium camera backpacks.
Designed for serious adventure-bound photographers and sports journalists, the Vertex Series combines carrying comfort with minimal bulk. All three packs in the series can hold one or two DSLR camera bodies or a 35mm SLR camera plus a range of lenses, a tripod, flash, digital accessories and a notebook PC. Featuring a rugged exterior design with water-resistant zips and an adjustable harness. A seam-sealed, all-weather cover pulls out to protect equipment in challenging environments.
Lowepro’s adjustable Glide-Lock accessory attachments allow tripods and other items to be carried on the pack. Outer pockets are provided for memory cards and filters and there’s a mid-pocket that can accommodate most notebook PCs. Adjustable padded dividers with side velex-lining allow photographers to customise the interior space to suit their own requirements.

Entry point in the Vertex Series is the Vertex 100 AW, which can hold 1-2 DSLR bodies plus 3-5 lenses (up to a 200mm f/2.8 telephoto). It has a 6-point adjustable harness and contains one Glide-Lock accessory attachment point. The mid-pocket can hold a notebook PC up to 14 inches in size.

The Vertex 200 AW can carry 1-2 DSLR bodies plus 4-6 lenses (up to a 300mm f/2.8) and has an 8-point adjustable harness plus three Glide-Lock accessory attachment points. The mid-pocket can hold a notebook PC up to 15.4 inches in size.

The largest model is the Vertex 300AW, which accommodates 1-2 DSLR bodies plus 6-8 lenses (up to a 400mm f/2.8). It, too, has an 8-point adjustable harness plus three Glide-Lock accessory attachment points and can accommodate a notebook PC of up to 17 inches.
