October 28, 2011: Following its acquisition by Ricoh, announced at the end of June, Pentax has emerged with a new look and branding as ‘Pentax; A Ricoh Company’.
Accordingly, three new websites have been launched catering for different sectors of the Pentax business. PentaxImaging.com (http://www.pentaximaging.com/) is optimised for faster browsing on desktop or laptop computers or tablets. It provides a gateway to the company’s product line-up and includes a new section covering Sport Optics for birding, hunting, astronomy and travel. There are learning resources and social media integration to support image sharing.
M. PentaxImaging.com (http://m.pentaximaging.com/) is designed for viewing on portable devices like smart phones. Content includes a full product catalogue, photo tips and a Photo of the Day from the Pentax gallery. The Pentax Photo Gallery (http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/) presents a collection of images from photographers around the world and includes ‘Featured Artist’ and ‘ Featured Collection’ pages. It’s optimised for desktop and tablet viewing.
