Priced at just $499, the CX7530 is ideal for family snapshooters because it is designed to be easy to use. Nine pre-set scene modes cover common picture-taking situations, such as night shots, close-ups and landscape photographs and special settings are provided for black and white and sepia photos when an ‘old-fashioned’ look is required. Kodak’s Colour Science image processing ensures accurate colour reproduction in all types of lighting and the multi-zone AF system ensures images are sharply focused. The large 1.8-inch indoor/outdoor LCD screen can be used for composing and reviewing shots and selecting menu settings and automatic picture rotation makes pictures taken vertically appear the right way up.
The CX7530 can also capture TV- quality video (VGA; 640 x 480 pixels), with capacity dependent on available memory (32MB internal memory included; additional memory may be added via the SD card/MultiMediaCard expansion slot). The CX7530 is bundled with Kodak’s EasyShare software for Windows and Mac PCs and the new model is compatible with Kodak’s EasyShare printer dock (RRP $299). It is also PictBridge enabled.
