Canon has issued a firmware update for its EOS 6D Mark II camera, while Tamron has updated firmware for the 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD lens for Sony’s E-mount cameras.

Firmware version 1.0.4 for the EOS 6D Mark II  corrects a phenomenon in which in rare instances, the operation buttons and some touch panel functions do not respond. It is available at https://www.canon.com.au/support/sims-content?pid=77917276cd67477a937369c4c324e748&cid=94F056F9876D420092AF7D19B2B1F8E2&ctype=fa.

Firmware version 2 for the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036)  lens improves known issues with autofocusing operation and less of focus with Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, when the range of focus search distance is broad, in video recording mode. It also addresses flicker on peripheral areas in the image when zooming. It is available at http://www.tamron.jp/en/support/popup/a036.html#SO.
