Next month will see the introduction of three short courses at the Australian Centre for Photography covering displaying images, product photography and Lomography.
How to Show Your Photography is a new course with three, three-hour classes, which begins on 11 March at 6:30 pm. Aimed at teaching photographers the ins and outs of getting work ready for exhibition, it covers editing and printing, finding the right space, proposal writing, applying for grants and documenting work. The fee is $265 adult or $235 concession.
Lomography at Night is a one-session workshop in which participants will explore the magic of Paddington at night with a plastic camera. The art of the long exposure, painting with light and multiple exposures will all be covered in this special Lomography at Night creative Workshop. It’s available to anyone whose camera has a ‘B’ or bulb setting. Diana F+, Diana Mini, Holga, La Sardina, Belair, Konstruktor, Lomo LC-A+, Fisheye 2 and Sprocket Rocket. The fee is $75 adult of $60 concession.
Product Photography is a five-session course for actual and aspiring professional advertising Photographers. It covers composition, lighting and post production and participants are required to have completed the Camera Craft 1 and Camera Craft 2 and Lighting courses at the ACP (or have relevant experience). The first class begins on 5 March at 6:30 pm. The fee is $475 adult or $425 concession.
