August 19, 2010: Canon’s new Selphy CP800 compact photo printer makes it even easier to print lab-quality 15 x 10 cm photos at home.
Featuring a stylish black casing and small size, it delivers high output quality and is easy enough for the whole family to operate. A new “Shuffle” print feature allows users to select favourite images and have them automatically laid out on a single piece of photo paper. A maximum of either eight or twenty images can be chosen for the collage-style print, with the choice of a black or white background.

The Selphy CP800’s Image Optimizer features evolved Noise Reduction Technology, which delivers smoother and more natural-looking skin tones. Intelligent Contrast Correction reduces background overexposure, resulting in a well balanced background and subject. Manual brightness adjustment is also available. A new 2.5-inch tilt LCD screen makes viewing images easier and the Selphy CP800 supports direct printing from cameras, USB flash drives and SDXC cards. An optional battery pack is available for portable printing.
The Selphy CP800 will go on sale in September 2010. Pricing has still to be determined. For more information phone Canon on 1800 021 167 or visit www.canon.com.au.
