February 12, 2009: Canon’s new LiDE700F scanner is designed for home and small office use and provides one-touch scanning of film, photos and documents.
Offering instant warm up and high speed scanning at 12 seconds per A4 page the LiDE700F comes with one touch buttons that automatically create an image file, PDF file, a colour copy or an email attachment in one simple step. Other features include 9600 x 9600 dpi optical high resolution, 48-bit superior gradation, automatic dust and scratch reduction as well as backlight, fading and grain correction. A single USB lead transfers data and provides power, keeping desks clutter free, and the Advanced Z-lid allows for vertical scanning giving users more office space.
The new scanner can also be connected to Canon Inkjet printers for button sends to make colour copies direct from the scanner, via the PC to the printer. Energy consumption is only 1.5 W in standby mode, minimising the user’s carbon footprint. The LiDE700F’s ScanGear CS software provides simple and advanced user modes, including flexible image settings, brightness/contrast, gamma histogram, tone curve palettes and grey balance adjustments. The ScanGear CS drive also allows multiple photos to be scanned at once using the multi-scan mode which automatically aligns, scans and names each image as a separate file. The LiDE700F will be available through Canon dealers nationally from 1 April, 2009 at an RRP of $249. For more information, phone Canon on 1800 021 167, or visit www.canon.com.au.
