January 28, 2010: March 2010 will see the release by Panasonic of two compact Full High Definition camcorders and two new compact high zoom camcorders and as part of its 2010 range.
The HDC-SD60 and HDC-HS60 and Full High Definition models that are feature-rich and easy to use. Both models feature a powerful 25x optical zoom, 35.7mm (35mm equivalent) wide-angle lens and POWER Optical Image Stabilisation (O.I.S). New to the 2010 range of HD camcorders, POWER O.I.S. claims approximately five times the corrective power of previous stabilisers and helps suppress blurring from low-frequency vibration, such as slow swaying movements. A new Active Mode in POWER O.I.S. minimises motion blurring while the operator is moving and walking.
Panasonic’s Intelligent Auto (iA) functionality is also provided, now with the addition of Face Recognition. This lets the user register up to six faces which the camcorder will automatically recognise and prioritise for both focus and exposure. In addition, the focus continues to track the subject as the person moves anywhere within the LCD frame. Other iA features include: AF/AE Tracking, Intelligent Scene Selector, Intelligent Contrast Control and Face Detection.
