The new ProTactic Series is designed for photo-journalists, documentary photographers and urban shooters who require quick access and on-the-fly versatility. Worn as a backpack, it has four access points that include a secure body-side opening, dedicated laptop compartment with full organisation panel on the inside lid, a moulded, turret-loading top and zippered compartments on either side. The versatile SlipLock attachment strap system lets users add modular accessories, including a water bottle pouch, accessory case, tripod cup and two cinch straps.
ProTactic also features Lowepro’s ActivZone System technology. Which provides targeted support at shoulder blades, lumbar and waist for comfort on the move. A removable waist belt ““ padded and featuring breathable, mesh-covered support ““ makes it easy reduce the profile for packing or travel. Two zippered hip pockets offer space for quick-grab items. The ProTactic Series also includes a built-in All Weather AW Cover; multiple organisation pockets inside and out; and Lowepro’s CradleFit laptop pocket that suspends and protects a device within the pack. Lowepro’s Hardside Series of camera cases provides maximum protection for camera equipment, offering complete prevention against the ingress of dust and sand and the ability to remain watertight for at least 30 minutes in up to 15 cm of water. Their tough outer shells are made from formed ABS resin and each case has a removable, soft-sided insert with a padded divider system. One-stage release latches provide automatic pressure equalisation in low and high altitudes. A pocket on the inside lid of the insert holds small accessories. Other features include lockable lift handles and a full-length piano hinge on back. Three cases will be available: Hardside 400 Photo ($299), Hardside 300 Photo ($249) and Hardside 200 Video ($229).
