February 26, 2006: Lowepro has released a new range of camera backpacks and pouches that are smart and stylish but also provide a practical and safe way to carry photographic equipment.

Lowepro’s Rezo carry pouches now come in five stylish colours: Black, Red, Slate Grey, Leaf Green and Burnt Orange. Compact and lightweight, they provide a high level of protection for digital cameras and come in two sizes. Rezo 10 pouches will take digicams like the smallest models in Canon’s Ixus and Casio’s Exilim ranges, along with the Pentax Optio S4 and S5i, Panasonic’s FX-series and Sony’s DSC-T1 and Ti models. Rezo 15 pouches can accommodate slightly larger cameras, including Fujifilm’s F-series models, Nikon’s Coolpix S1, S2 and S3, the Olympus Mju Mini, most Pentax Optio models and the smaller Sony Cyber-shots. (Full details of recommended Lowepro pouches for specific camera models can be downloaded from http://www.lowepro.com/camera_matrices.aspx.) Rezo pouches are priced at $20-$22.

compudaypack

Lowepro’s new CompuDaypack has been designed as an all-in-one solution for travelling digital photographers. Featuring a special triple-compartment design, the Lowepro CompuDaypack (RRP $129) has space to accommodate and protect a digital SLR camera with attached lens (up to 105mm f2.8), a notebook computer (up to 17-inch screen) and additional capacity for personal items and digital accessories. The camera and lens fit into the lower compartment, which measures 279 x 135 x 149 mm. Here they are protected by a proprietary “NoDrop Gusset”, which gives easy access to the camera but prevents it from falling out. The backpack’s padded notebook compartment (measuring 310 x 46 x 404 mm) ensures the computer is safe from damage, while leaving enough space to carry additional folders or books.

The third compartment, which measures 320 x 140 x 290 mm, has several organiser pockets. These provide secure storage for cellphones, memory cards, PDAs, cables, batteries and other similar items. The new CompuDaypack is available in three colour options, with the basic dark grey body highlighted by Leaf Green, Burnt Orange or Slate Grey. The pack has a contoured shoulder harness with DryFlow lining for additional comfort. SlipLock attachment loops allow other items to be attached easily and securely.
