With 14.5 MB of internal memory, it also sports an SD card slot and images can be copied between the internal memory and an SD card, as desired. The Zoom Nikkor lens has a focal length equivalent to 35-105mm in 35mm format and is supported by 4x digital zoom magnification. Five colour modes are supported: standard, vivid, black & white, sepia and cyanotype, and a blur warning is provided to minimise camera shake.
The Coolpix 4200 (RRP $699) is a lower-resolution, lower-priced version of the 5-megapixel Coolpix 5200, which was released in July. It features the same innovative Advanced Red-eye Reduction function as the Coolpix 5200, providing automatic in-camera correction of red-eye affected subjects. It can be initiated in a range of situations and automatically activates when Night Portrait scene mode is selected. Advanced autofocusing allows users to focus on any of five focus areas. Manual focusing is provided, along with centre-weighted, matrix and spot metering. High-speed continuous shooting is also supported.
