National Geographic photographer David Doubilet and filmmaker Bryan Smith are heading to Australia and New Zealand for the 2014 National Geographic Live! series, with events from 27 July to 14 October 2014 in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Wollongong, Auckland and Wellington.
Supported by Olympus Imaging, the ‘Coral, Fire & Ice’ series (July-August) features Renowned National Geographic photographer David Doubilet (above), while ‘Extreme Adventure on the Edge’ (September ““ October) features award-winning filmmaker Bryan Smith (below). Prestigious venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne’s Hamer Hall have been chosen for the lavish audiovisual presentations.
Doubilet and Smith will recount experiences as correspondents for the National Geographic magazine and the National Geographic Channel.
David Doubilet is one of the world’s most well-regarded underwater photographers, and has photographed more than 70 stories for National Geographic, reporting on coral reefs, historic shipwrecks, ocean predators and other exotic marine creatures. His presentation will range from tropical coral environments through to the Gulf of St Lawrence, to the ice-filled waters of Antarctica.
Bryan Smith will share gripping moments from his assignments documenting extreme feats and high adventure in the world’s most challenging environments.
