March 17, 2009: Sony will add two new models each to its T-Series, W-Series and S-Series Cyber-shot ranges by the end of April. Available in a variety of smart colours, the touch screen Cyber-shot T90 and T900 models feature 12.1 megapixel (effective) resolution and Carl Zeiss 4x optical zoom lenses plus optical Steady Shot stabilisation. The T90 model sports a 3.0-inch wide Clear Photo LCD Plus touch screen, while the T900 has a larger 3.5-inch wide Xtra Fine LCD touch screen. The T90 is offered in blue, pink, silver, black and brown at an RRP of $599. The T900 comes in red, silver and black and will see for $749. Both models go on sale next month. The new W290 (RRP $529) and W230 (RRP $429) models also feature 12.1 megapixel (effective) resolution but have Carl Zeiss lenses with Steady Shot optical stabilisation. W290 offers 5x optical zoom lens and supports HD movie capture at 30 frames per second and 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, while the W230 has a 4x zoom lens. The Face Detection and Smile Shutter technology are also provided in both models. Both models have 3-inch LCD screens and come in silver, black and red.
