Adobe has announced updates to Photoshop CC along with new releases of Project Felix and Adobe XD for Windows.
The latest update to Photoshop adds support for the new Touch Bar function on the latest MacBook Pro computer. It provides three distinct categories of functions ““ Layer Properties, Brushes and Favourites ““ that can be accessed via the Touch Bar. Layer Properties lets you access common actions like place a Smart Object, clip Layers, and open Select & Mask. Controls for changing the blend mode and scrubbing through the history are also available. The Brushes section gives you quick access to brush colour, size, hardness, opacity and flow, each via a movable slider. The Favourites sections allows you to configure your own set of favourite actions. Details are available at https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/touchbar.html.
The first beta of Project Felix is available today for subscribers with a paid CC membership. Introduced at Adobe MAX 2016, Project Felix enables graphic designers to create high quality, photo-realistic images for projects including product shots, product design, scene visualisation and concept mock-ups.
