South Yarra photographer, Michael Teo, has been named winner of the AIPP Victoria’s top professional photographer award for 2017.

Mr Teo, who specialises in fashion, advertising and portrait photography, has won several awards since entering the industry less than 5 years ago. He originally trained as a classical musician before switching to photography later in life.
More than 190 entrants submitted a total of 885 of images to be judged in the state competition. This year, the awards were peer-judged anonymously over the course of two days by some of Australia’s most recognised photographers including Hilary Wardhaugh, David Evans and Greg Hocking.
