Sydney-based portrait photographer, Matt Hoyle, has been named as overall winner of the 2004 Canon/AIPP Australian Professional Photographer of the Year Awards.

 

May 25, 2004: Sydney-based portrait photographer, Matt Hoyle, has been named as overall winner of the 2004 Canon/AIPP Australian Professional Photographer of the Year Awards.
The Awards, which have been sponsored by Canon for the past three years, are open to all professional photographers in Australia and judged by professional photographers. The category winners for the 2004 Canon Australian Professional Photography Awards were:
Rocco Ancora – 2004 Canon/AIPP Australian Wedding Photographer of the Year
Tim Griffith – 2004 Canon/AIPP Australian Commercial/Industrial Photographer of the Year
Urs Buhlman – 2004 Canon/AIPP Australian Advertising/Fashion Photographer of the Year
Peter Eastway – 2004 Canon/AIPP Australian Illustrative Photographer of the Year
Chris Barry – 2004 Canon/AIPP Australian Biomedical/Scientific Photographer of the Year
Anna Bombardieri – 2004 Canon/AIPP Australian Landscape Photographer of the Year
Damien Bredberg – 2004 Canon/AIPP Australian Editorial Photographer of the Year
Matt Hoyle – 2004 Canon/AIPP Australian Portrait Photographer of the Year.
The 2004 winning entries will also be showcased in a national touring exhibition, with tour details to be confirmed. The 2004 Canon/AIPP Professional Photography Awards book will soon be produced featuring Mr Hoyle’s photography and the Gold and Silver award winning entries from each category.
