Manfrotto has developed range of LED lights designed to cover the stills and HD video features that are now available in many cameras.
Offering continuous and hybrid solutions the new lights have reduced energy consumption through low heat generation, long lifespan, and are highly shock resistant. They carry a 2 year warranty. Three models are available: Pocket (ML120), Mini (ML240) and Midi (ML360), each differing in the quality of light and battery duration. Each can be mounted with existing Manfrotto supports via standard ø‚ ¼ threading on the bottom of the mounts. They are light and extremely portable and have double flash shoe universal attachments.
The Manfrotto ML120 (RRP $70) features 12 LEDs in two rows plus an On-off switch. It uses one AAA alkaline battery for a one-hour lifespan or 1 AAA rechargeable NiMh battery for a half-hour lifespan.
The Manfrotto ML240 (RRP $125) features 24 LEDs in four rows and has an icon dimmer adjustment. It uses two AAA lithium batteries for a 1.5 hour lifespan, two AAA alkaline batteries for a one hour lifespan, or two AAA rechargeable NiMh batteries for half an hour (batteries not included). It has a back light LED which illuminates camera buttons and controls when shooting at night.
The Manfrotto ML360 (RRP $165) features 36 LEDs, and has an Index dimmer with adjustment from 0-100%. It uses fourAAA lithium batteries for 1.5 hours lifespan, four AAA alkaline batteries for one hour lifespan, or four AAA rechargeable NiMh batteries for half an hour (batteries not included). A back light LED can be used to illuminate camera buttons and controls when shooting at night. The ML360 can be mounted vertically or horizontally and is stack-able. Additional lights can be attached for enhanced light output.
