December 7, 2007: A new addition to Manfrotto’s line-up is the Modosteady, a multi-function stabilisation system for lightweight camcorders.
Designed by Sapio and developed by Manfrotto, it replicates some of the functions of a SteadyCam and can be used as a shoulder support, counter-balancing stabiliser and table tripod. As shoulder support, its bi-injected foot can be used as shoulder pod, making the Modosteady like an extension of the body. As a counter-balancing stabiliser its adjustable arm and counterweight can be set to the proper counterbalance position and weight, considering the weight and the centre of gravity of the camcorder. Folding the extension arm and opening the bi-injected handle turns the unit into a table tripod that can be used for shooting both video and still pictures.
