November 30, 2005: The new Lowepro DryZone Rover backpack has been designed to provide outdoor and adventure photographers a camera bag they can rely on in the most extreme conditions.
Featuring a useful “hydration system” (built-in water reservoir) and fully waterproof compartments, it is buoyancy-certified to 15Kg, allowing photographers to work in extreme environments without fear of losing the entire backpack and its contents if dropped into water. The upper compartment is designed for quick and easy access to equipment and personal gear, while the DryZone Rover’s lower compartment is kept completely waterproof by utilising a unique T-Zip EasySeal zipper and a rubber-coated nylon DryPod with heat-sealed seams.
The hydration system, designed by Hydrapack, is a lightweight water reservoir made from strong, taste-free polyurethane. It has a capacity of up to 1.5 litres and Velcro-sealed wide mouth opening, which makes it fast to fill and easy to clean. An EasyFlo Shut-Off Bite Valve completely seals the valve for safe usage around camera equipment or other electronic devices. A contoured shoulder harness, padded waist belt, and DryFlo padded back panel provide balance, comfort and even weight distribution during long treks.
Digital photographers will welcome special features like built-in memory card holders, laminated mesh pockets and removable accessory pouches for storing power cables, adaptors and other digital accessories. The new Lowepro DryZone Rover backpack will be available in either a Grey/Black or Yellow/Black colour scheme. It is expected to sell for $389. For more information, visit www.maxwell.com.au.
