Kayell will be running master classes in studio lighting on 10 September in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Designed for photo enthusiasts, they require participants to be familiar with an enthusiast-level interchangeable-lens camera and be able to provide their own camera, a fast medium-range zoom lens and memory cards. A standard prime lens and/or a short telephoto prime lens could also be useful. Professional lighting equipment and a model will be provided.
Each course will run for four hours between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Participants will receive tuition in the various types of lighting, when and how to use modifiers and effective use of backdrops. The final part of the day will be an overview of retouching techniques and how best to sharpen images.
The Sydney workshop will be held at Kayell’s premises at 30 Whiting Street, Artarmon 2064. The Melbourne course will be held at Luminosity Studio, 79F Lexton Rd, Box Hill 3128. The Brisbane course takes place at Warehouse Studios, 2/98 Wecker Rd, Mansfield 4122. Each course has a fee of AU$134.
